Lampasas County (/læmˈpæsəs/ lam-PASS-əs) is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 19,677. Its county seat is Lampasas. The county is named for the Lampasas River. Lampasas County is part of the Killeen–Temple, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 714 square miles (1,850 km²), of which 713 square miles (1,850 km²) is land and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km²) (0.2%) is water.
